Synthetic Plastic & Bio Plastic.
There are two kinds of plastics that are created using natural gas. The synthetic plastic comes directly from the natural gas, crude oil, or coal.
The bio plastic, on the other hand, is created using starch, fats, or other renewable material.
In either case, natural gas plays an important role in making the products from this industry. The bio plastic requires heat generated using natural gas to melt the plastic which is then moulded or poured into moulds to create the desired shape of cutlery, containers, straws, etc. These are then cooled to set the mould.
