Abhilesh Gupta

Managing Director and CEO

The MD and CEO of THINK Gas comes with an experience of 27 years in the commercial finance industry across the LNG, city gas, and power domains in India and Singapore. A B.Com graduate from Rajasthan University, he has worked with top names in the industry post completion of his education. He was the Group CFO of Asia Genco.; he was a part of Petronet LNG as the GM, Finance. During his tenure as the General Manager of Finance at Petronet LNG Limited, he played a pivotal role in the financial closure of India’s first LNG terminals for receiving and regasification at Dahej, Gujarat, and Kochi, Kerala. He has also worked at IGL, Delhi’s city gas company in finance.

Chiradeep Datta

Chief Operating Officer

Mr.Chiradeep Datta brings 33 years of experience in operations, project management, process safety, and commissioning of cross-country gas pipelines. He is responsible for the delivery of CGD projects while at the same time leading the operations and maintenance of THINK Gas CGD networks across India. Before joining THINK Gas, Chiradeep was the Chief of Operations at Reliance Gas Pipelines Limited for four years and the Vice President & Head of Technical Services at Reliance Gas Transport Infrastructure for 7 years. He has also worked in GAIL for 19 years as Chief Executive Assistant to Director (Projects) GAIL and assisted in commissioning the DVPL and DUPL projects.
Chiradeep successfully commissioned the 484-kilometer-long high-pressure Dahej-Nagothane Ethane Pipeline and executed the Ethane Dispatch Terminal Project at RIL, Dahej. Chiradeep holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Vinukumar Balakrishnan

Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer

Mr.Vinukumar Balakrishnan is the Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer at THINK Gas. An alumnus of BITS, Pilani, and NIT, Tiruchirappalli, he has over two decades of experience working in the Indian Oil and Gas industry.
Vinukumar started his career in marketing petrochemicals in the states of Karnataka and Kerala and then switched to a gas marketing profile as a part of GAIL’s central marketing team. He has also managed gas marketing and pipeline capacity marketing in Karnataka, Kerala, and Western Tamil Nadu. Additionally, he was responsible for industrial and CNG sales and marketing in Bangalore’s City Gas operations.

Manoj Kapoor

Chief Procurement Officer

Mr.Manoj Kapoor is the Chief Procurement Officer of THINK Gas. He is responsible for procurement, contracting, and managing inventory for the overall requirements across all GAs.
He is a senior management professional with extensive experience of 30 years in executing various prestigious EPC infrastructure projects in Power Transmission, Railways, Power Generation (Gas, Combined cycle, Coal, Hydro, Renewable projects), etc.
An engineering graduate from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, a PGDBA, he holds operations expertise with well-rounded skills in Equipment and Services Procurement & Contracting, Project Management, Tendering support, Technical Support, Construction supervision, P & L Management, pre-investment diligence, and operational leap.
Before joining the THINK Gas team, Manoj held leadership roles at reputed MNCs like ABB, ALSTOM, Voith Siemens, Everstone, KEC, and Suzlon.

Nishant Nehru

Chief Financial Officer

Mr.Nishant Nehru is the Chief Financial Officer for THINK Gas and is responsible for fund raising and fund management, banking relationships/treasury operations, and strategic initiatives for new business avenues. With a rich experience of 15 years, Nishant has an investment banking background in the oil and gas sector with a focus on fund raising, M&A, and strategic advisory.
Prior to THINK Gas, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and SBI Capital Markets Limited (SBICaps) and advised numerous blue-chip companies on project set-up, funding strategy, and M&A, both domestically and internationally. During his investment banking career, Nishant has been a part of various marquee fund-raising transactions and raised funds more than USD 11 billion for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Nishant is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow and the YMCA, Faridabad.

Ajay Chaudhary

Chief Strategy Officer

Mr.Ajay Chaudhary brings over 27 years of experience in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, with extensive expertise in project finance, portfolio management, and value creation. He has a proven track record in originating, structuring, and executing large-scale investments, managing a portfolio exceeding USD 4 billion, and driving operational and financial optimization to enhance returns.
Before joining THINK Gas, he was associated with EnTranz Finance, a platform incubated by ISQ Capital. Prior to that, he led the Infrastructure Financing Group at L&T Financial Services.

Susheel Jad

President & General Counsel - India

Mr.Susheel Jad is the President & General Counsel for THINK Gas (India). With a 30+ years of experience in different fields of law, he has handled litigations in various Courts/ Tribunal/ Forums/ Regulators/ Statutory and Administrative Authorities. He has extensive experience in consumer, labour, arbitration, M&A, taxation, insolvency law, land acquisition, regulatory work, diligence, etc. He has also handled many high stakes international arbitration matters under ICC.
Before joining THINK Gas, Susheel held several senior roles. He was the Legal Head at Indraprastha Gas Limited for 15 years and Legal Head at National Fertilizers Limited Vijaypur Unit for 15 years. During his previous role, Susheel has successfully dealt in various regulatory matters and was instrumental in setting aside the network tariff regulations of PNGRB. He is the alumnus of Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh and holds a Master’s Degree in Commercial Laws.

Neeru Bhalla

Chief Compliance & Company Secretary

Mrs.Neeru Bhalla is the Vice President, Company Secretary at THINK Gas. She is responsible for the Indian branch’s corporate secretarial and compliance functions. She comes with an experience of more than 17 years in corporate governance, corporate secretarial, legal & compliance, and advisory function in various industries including telecom. Before joining THINK Gas, Neeru worked with Adidas, Beetel, and British Telecom, and headed their Governance, Secretarial and Legal functions.

Man Mohan Singh

President - Engineering and Business Development

Mr.Man Mohan Ahuja is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Punjab University Chandigarh. In a career spanning for more than 41 years, he has worked for companies like Engineers India Limited, Stork Engineering & Contracting Group-Malaysia, Petronet LNG Limited, H-Energy. Has also worked in various overseas companies in US, Europe and Asea and has published many technical papers on LNG facilities.
His Experience includes Process Design Engineering / Project Management for various Oil & Gas (on-shore & off-shore) installations, Refineries, Petrochemicals, LNG terminals and Pipeline / CGD projects. Associated with Project and Engineering activities for various Petrochemical complexes, LNG terminals in the country including LNG terminal at Dahej (first LNG terminal in the country), LNG terminal at Kochi, LNG terminal at Jaigarh and Jaigarh – Dabhol pipeline. Experience also includes project, engineering, operation and procurement activities for CGD projects.

Pradeep D Bhatt

Head - HSSE

Mr.Pradeep is the Head of HSSE & ESG for THINK Gas . He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate with additional qualifications in Fire Engineering (MI Fire E, UK), Industrial Safety, and a Master's degree in Environmental Studies. He has received leadership coaching from Change International Norway.
With 32 years of experience, he has worked in various sectors, including gas-based plants, urea-based and phosphatic fertilizer plants, petroleum oil lubricant terminals, mounded bullets, LPG bottling plants, cryogenic storage facilities, seismic and directional drilling, and petrochemicals. His international exposure includes working in cities such as Texas, Houston, Hamburg, Estonia, Fujairah, Rotterdam, Turkey, Kalimantan Islands, Karimun Islands, and Antwerp.
Before Joining THINK Gas he was heading the HSSE dept of Indian Oiltanking which is a joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation and Oiltanking Gmbh Hamburg.

Mr.Senthil Kumar is the Head of HR & Admin for THINK Gas, India. With a post-graduate degree in MBA in Human Resource Management from Annamalai University, Senthil holds over 22 years of comprehensive experience in managing the entire gamut of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Industrial Relations, Strategic Planning, HR System and process, General Administration, Public Relations and Land Acquisition.
Before joining THINK Gas, he was the Group Head – HR at TVS Group Turbo Energy Limited, Chennai, where he led all aspects of corporate and Pan India unit HR/IR functions. He also headed the HR and admin functions of Venkys Group, Pune.

Ajith Nagendran, Regional Head THINK Gas, Kerala, is heading the crucial role of developing the CGD infrastructure and business functionality for Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Ajith, a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from T.K.M. College of Engineering Kollam, University of Kerala, has more than 30 years of rich and diverse exposure in the oil and gas sector, encompassing design and engineering, project management, construction management, and O&M, which allowed him to gain insight and knowledge across multiple functional areas.
Prior to joining THINK Gas, Ajith has been associated with Dubai Petroleum, Dubai Supply Authority, UAE, Tebodin & Partners, Muscat, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), and ILF Consulting Engineers, Abu Dhabi.
Now Ajith is leading the efforts to create natural gas ecosystem infrastructure for the sustainable development of Kerala.

Somil Kumar Garg

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia and an MBA student from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Mr. Garg brings knowledge of business development to the table, along with 25 years of industry experience. He had been a part of Project and Development India Limited for over 10 years and Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (India’s Premiere Joint Venture of GAIL, BPCL, and Govt. of Delhi for the business of City Gas Distribution) for more than 15 years before joining THINK Gas.
Mr. Garg possesses a vast multi-domain experience in the energy and utility industry, has effectively managed different types of teams (unskilled and skilled manpower/engineers/managers), and met organizational objectives efficiently.

Gautam Anand

Nellore and Chittoor GA,
Regional Head

Mr. Gautam Anand is the regional head of Nellore, Chittoor and Tirupati GA. He has more than 19 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry mainly in Project Management & Execution, Operation and Maintenance, process safety and Quality assurance. Before joining THINK Gas in November 2019, he was associated with Mahanagar Gas Limited. Mr. Anand has multi-domain experience and has executed critical pipeline projects using Trenchless techniques at various locations. He has experience in developing CGD infrastructures from start to commissioning in various geographical areas. Mr. Anand has also driven value accretive initiatives in quality assurance, project management, planning, corporate Project monitoring, process and Policy review.

K R Venkatesan

Kolar and Vellore GA,
Regional Head

Mr. K.R. Venkatesan is the Regional Head of Vellore & Kolar GA and has over 23+ years of experience in Project Management, Contracting, Procurement, and Business Development in India’s Oil and Gas industry.
He was responsible for the development of the world’s largest City Gas Distribution network. His passion for the CNG and PNG projects in the Delhi and NCR region at Indraprastha Gas Ltd is appreciated to date.
He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering in Instrumentation and Control from St. Joseph College of Engineering, and an MBA in Production Planning, Control/Maintenance, and Quality Management from Annamalai University. Mr. Venkatesan has also played a key role at Reliance Industries Ltd.

Rangarajan Seshadri

Mr. Rangarajan Seshadri is the regional head of Kalaburagi and Vijaypura GA.He has over 28 years of experience in oil and gas-related projects, especially in the areas of cross-country pipelines, city gas distribution, CNG outlets, and LNG regasification,across domains including pipeline integrity, gas utility operation management, process safety, cathodic protection, regulatory affairs, FEED, engineering and project construction, procurement, and contracting and coordination.
Having worked with companies such as Mahanagar Gas Ltd. and Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Limited in diverse capacities, Mr. S. Rangarajan also has expertise in Operations and Project Management encompassing planning, monitoring, and controlling projects, establishing, and maintaining pipelines, asset integrity with reference to risk, quality, change control, communications, and resources.

Mr. Poomari E is the Regional Head of Ramnad GA and has over 40 years of experience in City Gas Distribution in Mumbai. He was responsible for developing CGD networks in South Mumbai and Mathura. He was also actively involved in establishing 100 CNG stations in Mumbai. He contributed significantly to developing the CGD network in the Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune.

Regional Head

Mr. Goswami Vishalgiri is the regional head of Chikkamagaluru, Hassan & Kodagu (CHK) and Uttara Kannada, Haveri and Shivamogga (UHS) GA and has more than 26 years of experience in the field of Pipeline Project Management. He specializes in the field of oil and gas specifically in the planning and project management of pipelines.
Mr. Goswami is responsible for the implementation of the approved Detail Feasibility Report and the establishment of CGD assets at the CHK GA. He is in charge of developing and driving the GA team.

Amitava Sengupta

Director

Mr.Amitava Sengupta has over 35 years of experience in the oil & gas, and power sector. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Exxon Mobil. He was also a Director of Petronet LNG. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a pioneer of LNG in India.
